That happen when you are not prepared for the event. Always pre check your vehicle and do the proper maintenance before race. That is how you blown engines and damage expensive parts. looks like you have to learn from previous experiences... but I get it, get to involve on the moment and skip all the logic.

Not to be Debby Downer but maybe you guys should take the time and get one vehicle running 100%, whether it's the MR2, the 240, the Hatch, Wago, or the Rowdessey. Get one totally on point that way you can run that all the time then fiddle around with the others. Look at how Cleetus did it, the early part of his channel was 100% Leroy, it wasn't until Leroy was consistently in the low 8's and hitting 7's that he started with Ruby, and on from there. I think it would give you some more positive vibes as well. I hate seeing look defeated out there when things don't work right.
